Our Mission

Alexandra Children's Centre provides quality child care for children aged 10 months to 5 years of age in a emergent learning environment supported by trained and experienced staff.



​Overview

Alexandra Children’s Centre is a non-profit charitable organization who have been serving the North End of Halifax for over 50 years. We are dedicated to providing a high quality emergent program delivered by passionate Early Childhood Educators. Our programs provides children opportunities to explore nature, conduct science activities, get creative and so much more. Our center has a maximum capacity of 76. Alexandra Children’s Centre has two infant classroom, one junior toddler classroom, one senior toddler classroom and one junior/senior preschool classroom.



Description

The Centre has a state of the art facility. In-floor heating offers comfortable warmth for our children. We have 3 play yards with a separate area for infants. Every classroom has terrace doors opening onto a sheltered patio and the play yard. Each room has child sized toilets and a wash up area. There is an on-site kitchen and chef to offer healthy meals which meet our high Provincial standards. Menus are available upon request.
